Link/Associate an email to a contact record

BookMine automatically links incoming emails to contact records based on matching email addresses. However unlinked emails from existing customers have to manually linked to the corresponding customer record once. After this all emails from this address will link to that contact.

ASSOCIATE – enables you to manually link any message to a contact record. To link the current email with an existing contact record, answer yes to the first prompt and use the search function to locate the contact to be linked to. Once linked all incoming emails from the same address will be linked to this contact in future.

If the email is from a new customer (not just from a different address from an existing customer) BookMine can create a new Contact record for you directly from the email.

Create new contqact record from an email - To have BookMine automatically create a new contact record (based on the message content and From Address), click the ASSOCIATE command,  answer NO to the manual association prompt. You will be prompted to Auto Associate. Answer yes to this prompt.

BookMine will automatically create a new contact record based on the email address and information in the ‘from’ section of the message. You can make alterations to this new contact record (for instance, adding first and last names if this didn’t appear in the message header) and then click accept to continue. In future all incoming emails matching the email address will be automatically linked with this contact. Emails already received from this email address which have not already been linked will not be auto linked until you invoke the Associate button for each one of them.
