Parking a sale
Any sale can be implicitly PARKED at any time during a sale and the operator can come back to it when ready to continue with it. Parking is required for several reasons such as customers deciding to look for other items during the sale.
To park the current sale just start a new Sale (F3) for the next customer and return to the parked sale when the customer returns to the counter. When prompted that the current sale is active agree to start another sale.
Locating a parked sale - Use the POS Summary screen to find parked sales on your terminal. Sales are displayed with the shipping field empty so that they stand out. On the summary screen use the sorting function on the Date Shipped column to group all parked sales at the top or bottom (this is a toggle) of the display.
Clicking on the Shipping Date column heading toggles between sorting the entries ascending and descending so that all the parked sales are at the top of the listing. Click on the details button to continue on with the required sale.
