Epson docket printers and the Advanced Printer Driver

Where a docket printer is required Infomining recommends the Epson Thermal printers listed in the Advanced Printer Driver V4 manual. The following printers are supported by this driver and can be shared over a terminal services connection.

TM88 series is ideal for a POS setup

The printer is installed on the remote computer using the Epson Advanced Printer Driver, downloadable from the Epson web site.  Make sure the printer is installed and working under windows before attempting to connect it in Bookmine.

When you connect to the central server at HQ the installed printer should be visible to connect to. Use the POS setup area to configure the printer to print from Bookmine as follows.

From the Main Switchboard - User Options - Setup POS Options

Tick the Option to Print to the docket printer from the POS interface and Print via the installed Printer Driver

Use the Configure printing via installed Driver command  - select the installed Epson printer from the list. Test printing.
