Note: Bookmine must be configured before you can send any sales data to Bookscan. This is carried out once only.

Before you can configure Bookmine you must contact Bookscan to arrange an account with them. They will provide you with an ID (unless you have a SAN), a user name, a password and the address of the ftp server to send updates to. You will need this information to configure Bookmine.

To configure go to the Output screen and Click the Bookscan tab. From there follow instructions to open the configuration and update interface.

To configure Click on the “Configure ..” tab and follow the onscreen instructions. If you have a SAN enter it, otherwise enter the id provided to you by Bookscan Australia. In addition they will provide you with a username and password for the ftp account. Enter them in the fields provided along with the address of the ftp server to use (use ftp.whitaker.co.uk as of Apr 2005 unless informed otherwise by Bookscan).

You can test the connection to ensure that you have entered the information correctly (ignore the message saying that the test file could not be deleted on the server. As long as a connection was made and the test file was sent all is working properly.)

Once configured you are ready to send sales updates to Bookscan.
