A special catalogue called the Standard On-line Catalogue is used to help to keep your on-line inventory up to date at all times. Additions and deletions to/from the Standard On-line Catalogue are equivalent to simultaneously adding and deleting records to all the OLBs that you are currently subscribed to. You can send/remove items online For Sale or as Wants at the click of a button. When the last copy of an item is sold, causing the number of copies to go to zero, the Standard On-line Catalogue automatically flags the item to be removed online. When you next connect to the Internet to update your online inventory all the files required to maintain synchrony between your local inventory (in the Standard Online Catalogue) and your on-line inventory (on each of the OLB's servers) are ready for sending.

The Standard Online Catalogue reflects the state of affairs of your online inventory at all times. It is your interface to all your online inventory on all OLBs you subscribe to.
