Bookdata (BD) – Setting up.
Bookdata is typically installed under c:\Bookfind (either locally or on a network drive). After setting up as described above the first search of Bookdata you do in Bookmine you will be prompted to provide the location of the Bookdata data files, where all the records reside. This can be located on the Bookdata CD, on a local hard drive (if you selected the option to cache the data files to a local disk on installing Bookdata) or on a shared drive on your LAN. On installation we recommend that you select the option to cache the data files to a local disk (on a LAN only copy the data files once, to be shared from here.). This has the advantage of greater speed of access and does not tie up a CD drive with the data files.
Once you can access the data files via the standard Bookdata interface, you can set it up in Bookmine.
You will be prompted to select the path to the CD or the Bookdata data file on disk. Bookdata copies this to a folder called Xdata (contains >600Mbytes of files)
