Once configured you can search for titles in the bibliographic database just as you do in Bookmine. The Stock form will be furnished with an extra button, either BD or BFOL, to access the corresponding database. Click this to view the summary form.
Once the summary form is displayed use the View/Find button to start a search. Candidates that match the criteria you enter are displayed in summary format. To see more details click the details button. If you wish to import the record click the import button.
Distributor and publisher details can also be viewed and imported by drilling down into the details.
Refer to the help files and documentation that are provided with the bibliographic database for information relating to how searches are processed and hints on honing searches to return better matches.
As an example entering “Parrots” in the title will return all records where parrots occurs in either the title or the subtitle of an entry.
Entering “Australian Parrots” in the title will return all records where the words parrots and Australian occurs in either the title or the subtitle of an entry. Checking the “OR” option will return all entries where either word occurs.
