To use BookFind Online from within Bookmine you require
(i) a current license from Nielsen Bookdata to access the online database
(ii) a current license from InfoMining to use the interface.
Nielsen Bookdata will provide you with a customer ID and password for accessing the facility via a browser. Once this is in place you can apply to InfoMining to access the same records from within Bookmine. The interface from Bookmine is separate from the Web interface provided by Nielsen. Bookmine's interface fully integrates with the same data as provided on the Web interface and allows full searching and importing of single and multiple records, including images where available. This means you never have to actually go to the Nielsen Web site as it is provided via Bookmine.
To configure, in Bookmine go to the Main Switchboard – User Options – Bibilographic Databases and select from the databases supported. Click the BFOL setup button and enter your customer ID provided by Nielsen Bookdata. Tick the BFOL radio button. Bookmine will attempt to access the online server using this username. If all is OK you will receive a prompt saying searching is now available.
Possible causes of failure to connect is your computer does not currently have access to the Internet , you have not entered the CustomerId correctly, you do not have a current license from Infomining to use the facility via Bookmine or you do not have a current license to access Bookfind Online via a browser. Please check and retry. If a problem persists contact InfoMining for support.
