Import to Bookmine Tables
Overview: An Import Template defines the relationship between the fields in the external Source file and the fields in Bookmine’s target fields.
To set up a Template you will be required to (1) select the source file which has typical example records, (2) select the source file type from a list, (3) select the source object type, if prompted to, (4) optionally select the default images folder if images are provided with the listing. Then add mapping entries to the template that define the relationship between the source fields or values and the target fields in Bookmine.
From the main import data screen click the Setup Import Template button.
An import template is required for unique source file type and optionally per supplier if you wish to specify different literal value mappings to track specific records from specific suppliers.
To set up an import template you must have a sample source file that is regularly formatted and is formatted exactly the same as the supplier listings that will be imported using the new template. The file should contain the equivalent of rows and columns of data only without any miscellaneous text and headings interspersed in the tabular data. The file could contain field headings on the first line in a CSV file. Heading and subheading should be removed from the source file before attempting to import it or use it to set up a template.
New Template - To create a new template enter a unique name in the Template selection box that will identify this template in future. You are warned if the template does not exist. Agree to create a new one.
