The POS summary screen displays a summary listing of all transactions that were started during a specified the period selected on the current terminal or all terminals. Clicking the Details button (F7 Key) on any line item displays the full details of that transaction on the POS details screen.

Main functions available

• Sales totals – Z-Read, X-Reads and breakdown of sales for specified periods. This would typically be invoked at the end of each day to reconcile the cash drawer and credit card sales.

• Setup/Modify POS options – Setup POS options such as docket printer type, interface type, etc. Requires enabling password to enter this area.

• Details (F7) of a transaction. – Click corresponding Details (F7) button for transaction.

• Pay (F6) - View/Enter payments against a displayed transaction. – Click Pay (F6) button on any line item. From here new payments can be entered, customer returns can be processed, existing payments can be cancelled and invoices can be printed.

• Select Dates button - Display all transactions for a specified period. – select the date range or click the required radio button.

• Sort displayed transactions by any column. Just click the column heading to toggle between ascending/descending order.

• Stock (F10) - Stock lookup/Maintenance - do search for an item in the Inventory database. Useful if customers asks about a title

• Contacts (F12) Customer Lookup/Maintenance – find customer record and display sales, requests/special orders, awards, gift vouchers, laybys, refunds and general history for the customer that is displayed in the customer field. Can create new customer records if not found.
