Bookmine has a special catalogue for controlling your online listings. This is called the Standard On-line Catalogue and contains the list of records that are currently online, queued for sending online and those about to be removed from online on the next refresh cycle.

As far as updating is concerned the Standard On-line Catalogue can be treated like any other catalogue or list in Bookmine despite some unique features. All of the functions available for maintaining standard catalogues, such as adding ,deleting, displaying, etc are also available for handling the Standard On-line Catalogue.

In addition the following commands are also available to manipulate the Standard Online catalogue in a more direct fashion:

• Toggle Command buttons on the Stock form to add and remove items For Sale and as Wants (the recommended way to add/remove items).

• Toggle Command buttons on the Requests form to add and remove items as Wants (the recommended way to add/remove items).

• Out of Stock: When the stock on hand goes to zero for items currently online For Sale the item is automatically flagged for withdrawal on the next refresh of OLBs, unless overridden by stock and OLB level flags as described below. Typical operations causing removal are selling the last copy of an item or manually setting the number of copies to zero. This can be overridden by the stock item flag “Always Keep online” settable from the stock form. If this is ticked the item will not be removed from online if out of stock. In turn this can be overridden on an OLB to OLB basis using the “Exclude If Out Of Stock” flag (see setting up and OLB) and the “Include if In Print” flag. These work in conjunction to enable you to selectively remove items from one OLB while leaving them online on others. If the item is online and the quantity onhand goes to zero it will be taken offline unless “Always Keep online” is set. This is overridden if the OLB “Exclude If Out Of Stock” is set.

• When any Stock record that is currently online is modified the user will be prompted to re-send it online so that the changes are reflected online.
